Our Story

Bonjour, I’m Sierra, your French tutor.

I began learning and speaking French at four years old, and it has remained a constant feature and passion (dare I say, obsession) in my life ever since. It’s taken me around the world in the most surprising of ways, and eventually led me to begin Salut! Salut! French Tutoring–first, as a casual tuition service in 2015, then as a fully-fledged small business in 2018.

Regardless of where I’ve been in the world, I’m always striving to maintain the French language as part of my daily life. This enthusiasm I impart on my students, whether you’re preparing for a French exam, working to dust the cobwebs off of decades of long-forgotten French vocabulary, or practicing your coffee order for your next overseas trip.

Since relocating to the Gold Coast in 2018, I’ve been helping Gold Coast-based French learners young and old achieve their personal and academic goals and connect with the francophone world.

Why work with me:

Believe it or not, I studied French just like you! Thanks to this, I can give you tips and tricks relating French back to English, to help you better understand and master linguistic concepts.
I have studied the French language at primary, secondary, and university levels, and I have tutored French and English to students of various levels and ages in Australia, the US, France, and Spain. I’m familiar with multiple curriculums and can tailor our lessons to suit your needs.
I lived in France and Québec, so I know a few different versions of French! Whether you’re looking to achieve academic language excellence or just want to survive a colloquial conversation on the streets of Paris or Montréal, I can help you!
